Latino Center of the Midlands’ 2015 Annual Report
Dear Friends and Members of the Community:
On behalf of all of us at the Latino Center of the Midlands, it is with great pleasure that I provide you with our 2015 Annual Report.
This year was a year of many accomplishments for the Latino Center of the Midlands (LCM). Salient among them are:
- We were able to offer services to over 2,200 community clients thanks to the generosity of the foundations that support us, the United Way of the Midlands, and to other generous gifts from corporate, private and individual donors.
- The Adult Basic Education (ABE) program was able to open two new program sites and expand the number of Spanish GED classes.
- The Pathways to Success (P2S) program hired a full-time Joven Noble facilitator, enabling the agency to serve more high school students through the OLLIN and Xochikalli “círculos” (circles) for young people.
The Board of Directors has been active in hosting conversations and collecting data about the future of our agency. In 2015, we wrapped up the 2013-2015 strategic initiatives and adopted a new round of initiatives for 2016-2018. We are humbled by the support that the Latino Center of the Midlands has received during this process and we’re excited about what the future holds.
We are grateful for the continued support that the Center receives each day! To the funders who invest in our mission… the volunteers that generously give of themselves to serve… the service partners and collaborators who work hand-in-hand with the Latino Center of the Midlands to make positive and lasting impacts in our community… and to the dedicated team of committed staff members who care deeply about our community…. To all of you, GRACIAS!
President, Board of Directors
