Community Services & Technical Assistance
The Community Services and Technical Assistance (CSTA) program of the Latino Center of the Midlands provides high-quality, comprehensive social service assistance, outreach and advocacy for the Latino community of the greater Omaha area.
The Community Services and Technical Assistance (CSTA) Program provides connections to:
- Legal and immigration consultation services;
- Tax preparation services;
- First aid and CPR training and certification;
- Employment consults; and
- U.S. citizenship classes
The CSTA program provides technical assistance to clients by completing forms and applications, making calls on behalf of clients and providing general social service navigation assistance to access qualifying public assistance programs and benefits. CSTA also provides basic needs and emergency assistance referrals to directly link clients to much needed resources. CSTA focus areas include assistance with immigration and legal navigation, assistance with financial stability, and helping clients address and meet their basic needs relating to food, housing, transportation, health, and safety.
CSTA predominantly serves families and individuals in Douglas, Sarpy, and Pottawattamie Counties. CSTA collaborates with other service providers such as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Coalition and Justice for Our Neighbors-Nebraska to support a more comprehensive approach to serving families in need in the community.
Our program values collaboration with others and provides responsive and good quality services to the individuals and families in our community.
